Long Island Sound at Lattingtown

Long Island often gets a bum rap. But I can assure you that the north shore and the east end are filled with many beautiful spots just like this one. The Hamptons have been discovered by copious outsiders and have made it often times unpleasant during the summer season. But that's no different from the South of France. So, if one is able to visit slightly before or just after the summer season you will find yourself very lucky indeed.

That is absolutely beautiful! 'Featureless' landscapes like this are really difficult to capture well but the clouds break it up perfectly :) I've never visited this part of the world but after seeing this I'd love to - I don't know why it gets a rap!

I guess the rap thing is a local phenomena and difficult to explain. I'm glad you liked the image and thanks for stopping by.

It's so beautiful there, too bad there always has to be something to bring a place down a bit. But the beauty outweighs any of it.
